6 Weeks Old

Our little Molly is 6 weeks old!! Time has flown by, but we are still learning everyday, which I'm sure will continue forever.

Molly is starting to respond to us more and talk and smile when we talk to her. It's so much fun! Here's a little video of her talking to her daddy.

We're still trying to get her on a sleeping schedule. I'm starting to realize though where she likes to sleep... Somewhere different everytime. She won't sleep in the same place as she slept the time before. I don't know why she does this? We plan to try to get her to settle on one place, but for now we are trying to get her to actually sleep at night. Right now she will fall asleep, if she has her binky in her mouth. The only problem is she thinks her bedtime is somtime between 12-1 AM and she spits her binky out about every 15 minutes and then wakes up and cries until she gets it back. So for now our goal is to get her to go to sleep a little earlier, get her to learn to stay asleep even when she spits her binky out (possible? Don't know, but we'll find out), and to get her to decide where she wants to sleep. Here's a couple pics of where she likes to sleep:

On Grandpa's Lap

On her Boppy (that Aunt Heather and Aunt Liz made)

In her bassinet (This is where she will sleep the shortest length of time sadly)

In her swing (which is her favorite sleeping spot during the day)

In her bouncer

In her carseat, especially if she's in the car going for a ride. (Notice how she's trying to hold in her binky. Sadly when she falls all the way asleep, her hand falls away from her binky, thus not allowing her binky to stay in)

In bed next to Daddy

In Daddy's arms

She'll also sleep with mommy, but usually daddy is busy at work or school and I'm not good at taking pictures of us, especially if I don't want to wake her up.

In other news: Molly got her blessing and visited Cedar City: See other posts, coming soon. (Possibly even today if Molly takes another good nap)

Cute! Cute! Cute! How are you enjoying having a little one around? It's a lot of work, but it's worth it. Congrats!
