A Too White Christmas and a Sleepy New Year

I've realized I'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to blogging. I always go on people's pages and say "Man they haven't updated in forever! I want to know how they're doing!" Yet my blog hasn't been updated for more then a month and a half. Maybe because I just figure everything I have to say is boring.

For Christmas Keith and I took some time off work to go to Washington to visit our family. My dad also took some time off, as he is working in Cedar City and looking for a house so the rest of my family can move down. We got all packed up and ready to go and we didn't even get out of Utah because it was snowing so bad. We tried once more the following day and the freeway was still closed down. So Keith and I spent our Christmas at home, while Dad spent it with his parents. We were all pretty bummed as we'd been looking forward to it for the last two months. It also was a big bummer because Keith and I had went to Washington for Halloween and while I was there I did most, actually all of his Christmas shopping so that we wouldn't have so much to take when we went back in December. Which meant that I didn't have a single gift for Keith to open. I felt like a horrible wife. I ended up running to the store on Christmas Eve (Not too fun at all) and buying a couple treats for him that I could wrap. I also ended up wrapping our desktop computer monitor turned on with a picture of one of his gifts pulled up on the internet, did the same with the laptop, and also wrapped up our cell phone with a text message from me saying what another of his gifts were. It wasn't the same but we had a good laugh. We also had decided not to buy a tree since we wouldn't be here for Christmas. We have a little one about a foot and a half tall though. All in all it turned out good even though it was not at all how we had planned to spend our Christmas. We did talk to both of our familes for Christmas and we even got on the webcam for a while to watch Keith's family open presents. The computer kept freezing however, but it was still fun. We also were able to go to Keith's Aunt's house for dinner with some of his cousins and grandma on Christmas and to my Grandma and Grandpa's with my dad on Christmas Eve.

On New Year's Eve then Keith and I decided to have a junk food night. We ordered pizza and got frozen mozerella sticks and poppers. We got potatoe chips and dip and pop. We also got carrot sticks, so we would at least have something a little healthy. I guess that we're just getting to be old though because before it was even 9:00 we had both fallen asleep. We did wake back up. We decided to go to bed though at 11:45 and just layed in bed and fell asleep within 5 minutes after it turned midnight 2009.

I took a picture of Keith while he was "watching the movie" on New Years Eve. Hopefully he doesn't mind. I took it with the phone because Keith's camera decided to break a couple months ago.

So, you may have noticed that there isn't a present from the Flynns in that stack that Steven brought you, and that is because we, well, ate it. Yeah. Anyway, now you are getting a better, cooler, less edible present, and it will come to you soon. At least before March.... we love you, did I mention that?
